The Sycamore School District is comprised of one High School (grades 9-12), one Middle School (grades 6-8), and four elementary schools (grades K-5)--North, Southeast, South Prairie, and West.

During the 1999-2000 school year, the Sycamore School District added a new elementary school, South Prairie, and also completed additions to the High School, Middle School and older Elementary schools. The District opened the Fieldhouse addition to the High School in 2004 and the Auditorium renovation in the fall of 2006. In the fall of 2007, an addition to South Prairie Elementary school was completed and opened. Currently, there are additions being done to North Elementary School, Southeast Elementary School and West Elementary School with a tentative date of completion of fall of 2008. There is also construction being done on a new elementary school with a tentative date of completion of fall of 2009.
