What the CAC Does

The purpose in creating a citizens’ committee for the Sycamore Community Unit School District is to listen to the community and suggest ways to improve the education of the children, youth, and adults of the district.

  • Volunteer at Schools

CAC Goals

  1. To facilitate cooperation and communication in educational affairs between the community, the School Board, the School Administration, and the staff of the School District.
  2. To hold informational forums regarding educational issues as appropriate.
  3. To advise the Board of Education in developing and revising official policies for the district.
  4. To facilitate cooperation in educational affairs between the schools and the organizations and institutions of the District.
  5. To participate in legislative and political activities concerning educational issues.

The CAC meets the third Thursday of every month at the Administration Building, 245 West Exchange Street, in Sycamore at 7:00 p.m. CAC members welcome your phone calls.
