OSCAR Childcare Presented by Sycamore School District and Kishwaukee Family YMCA 2008 – 2009 School Year 2009 Summer OSCAR Program The Sycamore School District will offer summer child care for children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade. OSCAR Summer Care will offer children a quality and safe summer experience with an emphasis on academic enrichment and summer time fun. The program will be offered from Monday, June 15th (date subject to change if additional emergency closings occur) through Friday, August 14th, Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. OSCAR will not be offered on Friday, July 3rd.  The program will offer academic enrichment, computer time, arts and crafts, field trips, themed activities, swimming, organized recreation and play time. Meals and snacks: Breakfast of a cold cereal and juice for children arriving by 7:45 am Morning snack A cold drink for lunch (must bring a sack lunch daily) Afternoon snack A certified teacher will lead the program. The child to staff ratio will be approximately 7:1. The program will be held at an elementary school site in the district. $30.00 per day/per child.* Children will be selected on a first come, first serve basis. A minimum four (4) weeks is required for registration. A priority will be given to children registered for nine (9) weeks, five (5) days per week. Space may be limited. In order to secure a spot, please have your application submitted by June 1, 2009. An application must be completed and a deposit of $125.00 per child is required that will be applied toward your childcare fees. Current OSCAR enrollees may make their initial payment no later than June 1st. Financial Assistance may be available.
