We
are happy to announce that once again the Summer Spartan Academy will be
offered to all students Kindergarten through Fourth Grade. Three sessions
will be offered as outlined below:
Literacy
Block: · This
session offers your student an academic enrichment experience focused on a
review of reading writing, and other literacy skills. · July
6th through July 16th, Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30 AM—noon each day. · Cost—$100.00 Mathematics Block · This
session offers your student an academic enrichment experience focused on review of mathematical computation and
problem solving skills. · July
20th—July 30th, Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30 AM—noon each day. · Cost - $100.00 Revvin’ Up for the School
Year · This
session offers your student an academic enrichment experience focused on
review of reading, writing, mathematics, and study skills to help get them
started for the school year. · August
10th—August 13th, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am—noon each each day. · Cost—$55.00 Please
know that Spartan Academy is only 8:30 to noon. If you need all day childcare
in the summer, you must register for OSCAR Summer Care. Please contact Karen
Wickersham, OSCAR Administrative Assistant at 815-899-8123 for OSCAR Summer
Care Registration forms. To request
registration forms for your child or if you would like additional
information, please contact the OSCAR office at 815-899-8123. You may also
visit the District website at www.syc427.org. Click on the 2009 Summer
Spartan Academy. Forms needed to be completed will appear at the bottom of
the information page. We encourage you to take advantage of this
opportunity to provide your child with an enriching academic experience this
