Ms. Julenne Davey is a graduate of Northern Illinois University, having earned a Bachelor’s degree in English/Speech Education, as well as Master’s degrees in both Education Administration and Counseling Education.  She is a retired Sycamore educator, having served 39 years in the field of education as an English/Speech teacher and guidance counselor.

When Davey retired from Sycamore High School, she missed working with the staff and students.  Her experiences in the Sycamore Community School District #427  were what she considers some of the best in her life, and she wanted to stay connected to the District because she truly cares for the children, parents, and staff in Sycamore.  Being on the Board of Education has afforded her the opportunity to continue to be a part of this amazing school system.

Davey resides in Sycamore with her husband Bill, and education has played a major role in her life as well as in the lives of her family.

  • Davey’s husband Bill, serves as the president of the northern region of the First State Bank of Mendota.  Prior to becoming a banker, he was an agriculture teacher.
  • Her daughter Audra is a registered dietitian at Delnor Hospital.  Prior to this career, Audra taught high school science.
  • Her son Drewe and daughter-in-law Kevie are both educators in the Sycamore Community School District #427.
  • Her youngest son, Josh, is a PE teacher in Quincy, Illinois.

Davey’s interests are reading, running, and volunteering.
