Public Hearing for the FY18 Budget

Board President, Jim Dombek, opened the Public Hearing for the District’s Fiscal Year 2018 Budget. No one in the audience chose to comment during the Public Hearing.

Thank You to the Sycamore Sports Booster

The Board of Education recognized Sycamore Sports Boosters President Susan Mizgalski and Special Projects Committee Head Dave Coovert with a Board of Education Award of Merit for their efforts in regards to the Multipurpose Video Boards at Sycamore High School’s Engh Community Field and the school’s Competition Gym. These Multipurpose Video Boards provide a new experience for fans at athletic events and allow for students involved in SpartanTV to continue to hone their video production skills.

Approval of Resolution Regarding FY18 District Budget

Chief Financial Officer, Nicole Stuckert, presented to the Board of Education the District Final FY18 Budget. Mrs. Stuckert indicated to the Board that the budget is balanced and has a surplus of over $200,000. Board Member Jacobson commended the Board for its efforts over the past few years in getting to this point. Board President, Jim Dombek, thanked the work of the Administration and staff for all of the work and sacrifices they made over the years to get the District to a balanced budget.
