Board President Jim Dombek accepts the award for being one of the “Healthiest Companies in America” by Interactive Health Solutions.
The Sycamore School District was presented the 2009 Dimon Award from the Federation of Community Schools. The award was presented for excellence in out of school time programming specifically with the Spartan Reach Program. These present to receive the award were (shown left to right) Sycamore Middle School Principal Mr. Jim Cleven, Superintendent Dr. Wayne Reisen, Director of Community Schools Programs Mr. Tony Stahl, Assistant Superintendent Mrs. Kathy Countryman, DeKalb County Extention John Horn, and State Representative Bob Pritchard.
The Sycamore Middle School Yearbook won the 2009 Gallery of Excellence Award from Walsworth Publishing
District 427 was recently awarded the Dimon Distinguished Community Schools Award from the Federation of Community Schools. The award specifically honored the Reach Afterschool Program at Sycamore Middle School. The district was awarded a $10,000 stipend for achieving this honor.
