North Grove Groove Family Fun Run

North Grove Groove 5K Run

Saturday, April 30

The North Grove PTO is pleased to announce our third annual North Grove Groove Family Fun Run.  This is a family centered event promoting fitness.  This event is open to the public so please feel free to invite your family and friends.  During the run we will have a DJ, prizes, and other great activities for the entire family.  This is a 1K-5K lap run with each lap equaling 1K.  This is a great opportunity to introduce children to a run as they can stop after any lap they want.  Please see the attachment for all of the details including a map of our course.  5K Run 2016 (PDF)

We hope all of you can participate in our North Grove Groove 1K to 5K run/walk.  This will be held on Saturday, April 30 at North Grove. This is a wonderful family event that our PTO sponsors.  This year’s run features prizes, a DJ, and lower prices.  Any student who completes the full 5K will earn a raffle ticket to be Principal for the Day! Please visit our website for registration details.

In April we honor the helping hands of North Grove through our Volunteer Appreciation Week.  This is a special time for all of us at North Grove to say thank you to everyone who gives their time and support.  Many of you give up your free time to come and be involved at the building or at our special events.  Thank you for making us a priority!  We know your time is valuable and we appreciate all that you do.  Special recognition goes out to Lanie Mason who was the winner of our volunteer of the year award. This award is voted on by our staff and Lanie will be recognized at a district celebration in May.

Finally, we hope everyone enjoyed reading The World According to Humphrey in March.  This family reading event brought new excitement into many of our homes.  It was fun to hear everyone talking about Humphrey, Mrs. Brisbane, Aldo, and the other characters from the book. We look forward to bringing this activity back again next year!

    Mr. Janisch, Principal
