What is Best Buddies?

Best Buddies is an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships.

• While in Best Buddies, the buddies need to make weekly contact.
• Once a month, the buddies need to get together and do a little something more. The goal is to just get together with your buddy and do something fun together.

When are our meetings?

General Meetings: 1st Wednesday of Month 7:40 a.m. Room 160 November 5 December 3

What is happening so far this year?

• October
  • Decorated courtyard window for Homecoming. Participated in the homecoming parade.
  • Both of our candidates, Jake Lancaster and Jasmin Robles were chosen as King and Queen.
  • October 19, Sunday - Family Dessert Night, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., SHS cafeteria. Get together with your buddy to prepare a dessert. Invite your family.
• December
  • Wednesday 12/5 (3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.) - Recycling.
    Meet outside the library computer lab, pick-up in front of school .
  • Wednesday 12/12 (3:10-4:00) SHS Cafeteria - Community Service Project.
    The Middle School Best Buddies will join us to make placemats for Meals on Wheels Holiday Dinners. Sign up to bring a snack at our December meeting.
