Kiwanis Kids is a great organization that teaches students about volunteering and making their world a better place.  Through various activities, 4th and 5th graders are encouraged to develop team building skills and find ways to better their community. 

In past years, K-Kids have raised money for Shiners' Hospital,  the NIU February 14th Memorial Fund, and the UNICEF organization.  Members have made cards for children in the hospital, and volunteered at several activities around our community.

 K-Kids have also had the chance to celebrate all their great contributions by having bowling and pizza parties sponsored by the Kiwanis Group of Sycamore.  

The K-Kids meet once a month in the morning before school at Southeast.  See the Calendar page for more details of meetings dates and times. 

How to Join:

Joining K-kids is strictly optional for students at Southeast in the 4th and 5th grades.  We hold an open enrollment policy.  Students can come to a meeting any time.  If they like the group and the activities they can keep coming back.  If they find their schedules are too busy, or K-Kids isn’t for them, they can stop coming at any time.
