To Contact the K-Kid Sponsors:

· OCTOBER—K-Kids will go Trick or Treating for UNICEF with the High School Key Club.  UNICEF raises money to benefit children in Africa.  K-Kids and Key Club members will leave for trick or treating from Southeast and meet back at the school to count how much money was raised and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies.  The actual date and time will be determined at a later date.

Schedule of K-Kids Special Events**

· DECEMBER—K-Kids help out at Southeast’s annual Cocoa and Caring.  This event is set up to help collect food, clothing and supplies for families in need in DeKalb County.  K-Kids are essential to helping this event run smoothly.  By assisting with coat check, various crafts and snacks, the K-Kids ensure that this event runs smoothly.  The actual date and time will be determined at a later date.

· APRIL—The K-Kids use Southeast’s annual Fun Fair as a venue to raise money for various organizations.  As a group, the K-Kids decide out what group would best benefit from their donation.  Then at the fun fair, all K-Kid members can participate in the activities that we are doing to raise money.   The actual date and time of the fundraiser will be determined at a later date.

· PIZZA AND BOWLING PARTIES—We are fortunate enough to have a very generous Kiwanis group in Sycamore that sponsors various K-Kid outings throughout the year.  Twice a year the Kiwanis members take the K-Kid group out to celebrate all our hard work throughout the year.   The actual date and times of these outings will be determined at a later date.

**Special Events are activities that are done outside of our monthly K-Kids meetings.  They take place before or after school and require special parent permission for the student to attend.
