Welcome to South Prairie’s School Website.  All the staff at South Prairie looks forward to offering your children the best educational opportunities and continuing our partnership with you, our parents, and the community.

South Prairie is growing and we have an awesome, dedicated staff family of about 55 members that can’t wait to meet the challenge!  We currently serve over 450 children in Kindergarten through 5th grade in 21 classrooms!  We are very excited to be a part of a school known for excellence.

The 2007-2008 school year will be South Prairie’s tenth year in existence.  At South Prairie, we believe “building on a decade” is the key to our future!  SPF *10 stands for South Prairie’s Foundation – of building on a decade and acknowledging and using the power of our 10 years.   Building on what we do best ….our future is BRIGHT as we continue to build on our foundation of TEN:  Teaching, Engaging, and Nurturing.  Our 2007-2008 theme supports the Sycamore CUSD#427’s Strategic Design Plan and our school improvement goals. 

South Prairie plans to embrace change, remain focused, celebrate our ten years, and “emit brilliant light” for our students and offer a happy, cheerful, warm, and positive atmosphere for all!
