South Prairie Elementary

*I earned my B.A. from Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois.  Later, I earned my MSEd. in administration from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois.   I have 15 years teaching experience in junior primary, first, second, third, fourth, and a combined seventh and eighth grade class.  Prior to moving to Sycamore, I served as the principal of Cuba Elementary School in Cuba, Illinois, for 5 years in a PreK- Grade 6 building!  I am thoroughly enjoying my third year of serving the Sycamore Dist. #427 as the principal at South Prairie Elementary School.  I love working with such an awesome staff and all our kids!

My husband, Steve and I have been married for 30 years and have one son and one daughter.  My son and his wife live in Dekalb with their two year old and nine month old daughters.  I love being a grandma!  My son teaches in Genoa and my daughter also teaches and coaches volleyball in Genoa.  We lost our “baby”, Katie, our 15 year old black lab a year ago and still miss her!  We love dogs and someday we hope to have lots of dogs and maybe raise some pups!  My family enjoys leisure boating, traveling, spending time together, and living as a “football” family!
