School Fun Fair
West School Mardi Gras (Fun Fair) takes place every February. The evening is filled with exciting games for all ages, a cake walk, prize table, food and an incredible selection of items up at the raffle. The theme ‘Mardi Gras’ is carried out throughout the halls in decorations, beads that the children receive upon entry, music playing thru the school, and games designed around the event. All of the workers are volunteers, old and young.
This evening is a way to bring the West School Community together for a night of fun that the whole family can enjoy. The money raised through the auction helps support West Elementary throughout the school year in purchasing such items as books, classroom materials, technology, and funding of field trips. Last year our auction raised $2,200 thanks to the continued support and generosity of our donors, the community and volunteers. With their help and support we are looking forward to another fun and exciting Mardi Gras on February 5, 2009!
