Walk to Learn
Each of our learners is unique. As we strive to empower all of our learners to be successful in their world, we recognize that some of them need further challenge beyond their grade level curriculum and instruction.
The Walk to Learn initiative at Sycamore Community School District 427 allows students at the elementary and middle school levels to “walk up” to the next grade level for instruction in certain subjects. At the elementary level, this initiative is currently for math instruction only. At the middle school, students can enroll in accelerated English/language arts and math courses. The additional challenge allows our students to progress at their own, accelerated pace.
