Human Resources

Empowering all learners to succeed in their world. That is our mission, and the Office of Human Resources supports it by recruiting, hiring, and assigning staff across the District to ensure that our students are provided the best possible education. The Office of Human Resources believes that our staff play a crucial role in our students’ success in and beyond their K-12 education.

In service to our staff, the Office of Human Resources oversees staff relations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Resolving workplace disputes, attending to disciplinary matters, and evaluating staff performance helps the Office of Human Resources ensure that all staff are provided a safe and supportive work environment.
"As a staff member at Sycamore Community School District 427, you are part of a responsive, innovative, and collaborative team that works toward empowering all of our students to succeed. Our learning community is at the heart of everything we do."

- Nicholas Reineck, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Educational Programs
In order for our students to succeed, our staff must be supported and heard. The Office of Human Resources works to maintain a positive, productive, and cohesive work environment for all staff. We think Sycamore is a great place to live and work, and the Office of Human Resources is proud to foster a work environment where everyone can succeed.

Substitute Teaching

Our students need educational oversight each school day, including when staff are unable to make it to work. We rely on substitutes to provide temporary support in our schools, and we are always looking for individuals to join our team of educators as substitute teachers, instructional assistants, or homebound tutors.
