The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has allowed school districts’ flexibility with their meal programs through December 31, 2020. These flexibilities allow Sycamore Community School District 427 to serve free meals to all children under the age of 18 within the District’s boundaries as funding allows.
Families will have the option to have meals delivered to an address within District boundaries or pick-up from Sycamore High School. Delivery of meals will occur between the hours of 9:00 and 10:00 AM on Mondays and Thursdays or meals can be picked up from Sycamore High School between the hours of 9:30 and 10:30 AM on Mondays and Thursdays. Meals packaged for Mondays will include meals for Monday through Wednesday, and meals packaged for Thursdays will consist of meals for Thursday through Sunday.
To sign up for this meal service, please complete the online order form no later than Friday, September 11, 2020. By signing up for this service, you commit to receiving meals through Friday, October 30, 2020.
If you previously signed up for our meal delivery service, there is no need to sign up again.
Our meal delivery service meals will be pre-cooked and delivered cold. Each meal will need to be heated to a temperature of 165°F or higher before being consumed.
If USDA funding runs out before December 31, 2020, families will receive a follow-up notification from the District.
