After completion of her High School degree she went on to North Central College where she received a BS in Actuarial Science. She pursued her Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Concordia College. She will be teaching math at the High School, welcome to Sycamore High School, Tia!

Palmiter describes herself at motivated, compassionate, and reflective. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and cats. They all like to travel to Wisconsin where they visit their cabin and cheer on the NFL Packers!

One school memory that still impacts Palmiter today was her senior year at Morris. During the homecoming assembly the teachers did a skit and then a dance to “who let the dogs out?” She says it was so fun to watch, and that memory reminds her of what a positive school experience can be for students beyond learning!
