2026 Illinois 5Essentials Supplemental Parent/Guardian Survey Now Open

The 2026 Illinois 5Essentials Supplemental Parent Survey is now open. This confidential survey, conducted by the Illinois State Board of Education in partnership with the University of Chicago, provides valuable feedback on key areas that support student success, including effective leadership, strong family and community connections, and a supportive learning environment. The survey closes on Friday, March 13, 2026.

To unlock survey results for each school, we must achieve at least 20% participation from parents and guardians at that school. Reaching this threshold is critical because the results help guide school improvement efforts and directly inform decisions that impact your students’ educational experience.

We strongly encourage every family to participate. When families share their perspectives, it helps us grow, improve, and better serve our students.
