Announcement of District Strategic Technology Plan for 2024-2027

Dear Sycamore Community School District 427 staff, families, and students,

We are excited to announce the launch of our Strategic Technology Plan for 2024-2027. In a world where technology is rapidly evolving, we understand the importance of ensuring our students are equipped with the necessary skills and access to thrive in the digital age.

The focus of our technology use is to support and enhance existing learning objectives, ensuring our students have the opportunity to succeed in their world. While specific devices and tools may change over time, our commitment to the goals, purposes, and functions of technology within our district remains steadfast.

This Strategic Technology Plan serves as a framework designed to increase transparency in our technology planning, usage, and objectives. It will act as a working document, continuously reviewed and updated by the Director of Instructional Technology, Dr. Phoebe Balentyne, and in collaboration with the District Technology Advisory Committee. These individuals will evaluate progress toward our objectives annually and communicate their findings to our community members.
