Bridges in Mathematics Recommendation

Dear Sycamore Community School District 427 community,

After two years of research, professional development, and curriculum pilots, our Math Committee has selected Bridges in Mathematics as the recommended elementary math resource. This recommendation will go before the Board of Education for their consideration and approval on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in accordance with Board Policy.

Bridges, developed by The Math Learning Center, was chosen for its alignment with our Essential Standards and Learning Targets and its engaging, hands-on approach to math instruction. Throughout the pilot, teachers noted its effectiveness in supporting all learners, fostering problem-solving, and encouraging student discussions.

As part of our review process, Bridges will be available for public display and comment. We invite you to explore the resource and share your feedback.
