Good afternoon!

The Illinois State Board of Education released their annual report cards today for each school in Illinois. The report cards are one indicator of how districts and schools are progressing on a range of educational goals.

We are proud to see significant student growth and achievement in our district despite the past three very challenging years. That is a testament to the work that our students, staff, and families do every day.

Each school’s report card consists of several components, one of which is a summative designation — a descriptor of how schools have met the needs of all students in the past year. It is my pleasure to share with you that all seven of our schools received a summative designation of “commendable” this year.

Being recognized as “commendable” in all of our schools is a tremendous achievement!

Sycamore Community School District 427 is strongest when we all work together on behalf of our students.  together, we will continue a legacy of success in our classrooms and beyond.

To our staff, our students, and our families — thank you for all you do, and Go Spartans!
