We're pleased to share our Facility Plan with the community. This plan reflects our commitment to creating safe, functional, and welcoming spaces for all students, staff, and families. This document outlines our prioritized infrastructure improvements for each school based on a 2019 assessment conducted by FGM Architects. This plan details work that is required or recommended from now through 2030, aiming to maintain our schools as safe, modern, and effective learning environments.
The 2019 assessment identified essential needs across all district buildings, including upgrades in roofing, mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, paving, energy efficiency, and classroom modernization. This plan provides a high-level summary of the assessment findings and excludes any projects already completed. The cost estimates included in this plan are based on 2019 data; we are anticipating cost increases for future projects and are collaborating closely with architects to account for these adjustments.
By sharing this plan ahead of the election next week, we hope to provide transparency around the infrastructure work needed throughout the district. We encourage you to make an informed decision on the Penny Tax referendum, which has the potential to support these critical facility improvements.
