What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy bicycling, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.
What school memory from when you were a student still impacts you today?
I had so many teachers that made me feel that really cared bout me as an individual. I hope I make the children I work with feel that same support.
Why did you choose to become a teacher?
I always knew I wanted to work within the school system. I love working with children of all ages. It has been a great decision. This job has been challenging, interesting, and rewarding.

I like painting/drawing, cooking, reading, and watching YouTube shorts in my free time.
What school memory from when you were a student still impacts you today?
A teacher once advised me that I should have more confidence and to graciously accept compliments. In other words, I was told to not doubt my abilities or doubt the sincerity of compliments that I receive.
Why did you choose to become a teacher?
I've always wanted to contribute positively to my community while pursuing a rewarding and fulfilling career that aligns with my religious values. As a Speech-Language Pathologist—often known as a speech teacher—I’m dedicated to helping students improve not only their speech sounds but also their language skills. My goal is to enhance their overall communication abilities, making it easier for them to socialize and connect with their peers.

What do you like to do in your free time?
My husband Matt, our two boys Nathan (8), and Xander (5), and our dog Hollie live in Sycamore. We enjoy spending time together as a family. Our kids are very active with sports and we love spending time outside.
What school memory from when you were a student still impacts you today?
My most impactful memory from when I was a student that still impacts me today was my Kindergarten teacher. Even at a young age I still remember my kindergarten teacher and classroom environment. I remember her singing songs and making learning fun. I still apply this in my classroom today!
Why did you choose to become a teacher?
I choose to become a teacher in Early Childhood education because during this time period children are learning many new things. It is such a crucial period for young children as they are building the foundation for future learning and development. I find our role important in helping build social-emotional development in young children. Young learners are very curious and I love seeing them reach new milestones. Having the opportunity to build relationships with families and children is very rewarding!

Playing semi-pro tackle football for the Chicago Force!
What school memory from when you were a student still impacts you today?
I loved my kindergarten teacher! She had such an impact on me that can still remember everything about her. She got to know each of her students and genuinely cared for each of them. She was just there for whatever needs I had or didn't know that I needed. I want to help students understand their importance.

What's the most interesting job that you have ever had?
OSCAR Program- working at all of the schools and interacting with many different people was interesting and taught me a lot!
Why did you choose to become a teacher?
I had great experiences with most of my teachers and they were impactful to me, so I wanted to do the same.

The thing that impacted me the most as a student was the ongoing kindness and care that teachers showed day in and day out.

I was blessed with some great teachers that instilled a love for learning in me and now I hope to provide that for others!

Garden, read, go to live theatre performances, spend time with family and friends.
What's the most interesting job that you have ever had?
Being a private catering waiter in New York City, serving private families, companies and museums in and around NYC.
Why did you choose to become a teacher?
I love sparking a student's imagination and their own creativity. I love bringing forth the excitement in learning.
