We are excited to share our next video in our Portrait of a Spartan monthly disposition series. This year, we are highlighting the eight dispositions that help shape our students into Spartans, and for November, we are focusing on Empathy.
Mrs. Jessica Gale, a 7th Grade Social Studies Teacher at Sycamore Middle School, brings the concept of empathy to life within her classroom. Mrs. Gale nurtures empathy in her students by connecting them with primary accounts from history, encouraging them to see the world through others' perspectives. Beyond her lessons, Mrs. Gale demonstrates empathy daily through her genuine kindness and understanding, creating a supportive environment that lets students know they’re truly seen and valued.
We’re proud of the work Mrs. Gale and all our educators do to help our students grow into empathetic, well-rounded individuals. Watch the video to see how we work together to make empathy a foundational part of our Portrait of a Spartan.
