As we wrap up our Portrait of a Spartan video series this school year, we are proud to feature our final disposition: Resilient.
In this month’s video, we meet Heather Motley, Math Interventionist at North Grove Elementary School. Heather shares how students can harness the power of yet—reminding them that not knowing something right now doesn’t mean they won’t. It’s about shifting their mindset, embracing mistakes, and recognizing that challenges are opportunities to grow.
In Sycamore, we want every learner to know that with resilience and determination, they can accomplish anything they set their mind to. This powerful growth mindset is what helps our Spartans thrive.
As this series comes to a close, we hope you’ve enjoyed going on this journey with us—seeing the Portrait of a Spartan dispositions come to life in all of our schools, from our youngest learners in preschool to our soon-to-be high school graduates.
