SpartanTV Debuts on Marquee Sports Network
SpartanTV students pose for a photo after the Homecoming Football Game on Marquee Sports Network.

Sycamore High School’s Homecoming Football Game was one to remember, both on and off the field. The game was featured on the national stage as the Marquee Matchup of the Week, with live coverage provided by the students of our SpartanTV program, showcasing the energy, pride, and community spirit that define Sycamore. According to the ratings provided by Marquee Sports Network, 4,000 people across the country tuned in to watch.

As part of the broadcast, the district premiered a two-minute promotional video during halftime. The video highlights our engaged students, dedicated staff, and the vibrant, supportive learning environment that defines the district. This video was created to invite prospective families and potential staff members to explore the opportunities available in Sycamore schools, demonstrating why the district is a place where students thrive and educators can make a lasting impact. The video also underscores the district’s commitment to celebrating its people and programs while connecting with the broader community in meaningful ways. You can view the video here.

“Last Friday was truly a special night that captured who we are and what we value as a district and community. We were able to highlight the amazing talents of our students, while also celebrating our Spartans of old,” said Interim Superintendent, Mr. Nick Reineck. “The extraordinary talents of our SpartanTV students were displayed on a national stage. Lastly, we debuted “We Are Sycamore”, which captures why Sycamore is an amazing place for students, families, and staff.”

The collaboration with SpartanTV gave students hands-on experience in live broadcasting and production, reinforcing the district’s commitment to authentic, real-world learning opportunities. The Homecoming Game was a celebration for all Spartans, past and present, showcasing why Sycamore Community School District 427 is a great place to learn, grow, and belong.
