Summer is the Hungriest Time of the Year for Kids

We recognize that many of our students depend on school breakfasts and lunches throughout the year. This summer, we want to provide you with resources available to families so that no Spartan will go hungry.

The Spartan Food Pantry is open all summer!

School may be out, but the Spartan Food Pantry continues to operate on a regular schedule throughout the summer. District families and staff are welcome to visit the food pantry on the following dates this summer:

• Wednesday, June 5 
• Wednesday, June 19 
• Wednesday, July 3
• Wednesday, July 17
• Wednesday, July 31 
• Wednesday, August 14

The Spartan Food Pantry is open from 4:30-6:00 PM at the district warehouse located at 520 N. Maple Street, Sycamore, IL.

USDA Summer Meals Site Finder

USDA works closely with states to ensure that children who receive one free or reduced-price school meals can get the nutrition they need when schools are closed – whether during summer break or unexpected closures during the school year. Through USDA's summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country can serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost. Families can use this tool to find directions to nearby meal sites, as well as their hours of operation and contact information.
