Sycamore Community School District 427 Approves Sycamore Education Association Contract Starting in the 2026-27 School Year

The Sycamore Community School District 427 Board of Education unanimously approved the Sycamore Education Association (SEA) Contract at its meeting on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The agreement will take effect starting with the 2026-27 school year and continuing through the 2027-28 school year.

This contract reflects the district’s continued commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment that supports its mission to empower all learners to succeed in their world. The agreement prioritizes stability, collaboration, and the ongoing success of both Sycamore students and staff.

“This agreement reflects our deep appreciation for the educators who support our students each day,” said Dr. Kristen Campbell, Superintendent. “We are proud of the collaborative process and the outcome, which strengthens our ability to support both our staff and our learners.”

The district recognizes the collaborative efforts of the Sycamore Education Association Negotiation Team, the Board of Education, and District Administration throughout the negotiation process. Reaching an agreement months ahead of the deadline highlights a shared commitment to effective communication, mutual respect, and a strong partnership in service of our school community.

“This agreement reflects what’s possible when educators and district leaders work collaboratively with a shared focus on students,” said Lynnae Ihm, SEA President. "It strengthens our classrooms, supports our teachers, and helps ensure our district remains a place where great educators want to come and stay.”

The approved contract is available for public review on our website.
