Sycamore Community School District 427 is pleased to announce that Mrs. Lacey Lantz will be expanding her leadership role within the district. In addition to serving as Director of Transportation, Mrs. Lantz will now also oversee OSCAR, our before and after-school care program.

In this expanded capacity, Mrs. Lantz will support the full scope of our students’ day, from their morning arrival and afternoon transportation to the enrichment opportunities provided through OSCAR. This alignment will enable greater consistency and coordination in meeting the needs of students and their families.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to step into a new role within our district, supporting two amazing departments that play vital roles in serving our families. These teams often work quietly behind the scenes, so I’m proud to help shine a light on their impact and dedication,” said Lantz. “I look forward to connecting with even more families, working closely with staff, and building meaningful relationships that I hope to foster for years to come.”

Mrs. Lantz brings a wealth of experience and deep local roots to her expanded role. A proud Sycamore High School alumna, she has dedicated the past 22 years to serving in various positions within the district. Since July 2022, she has led as Director of Transportation, where she has successfully managed the district’s transportation services with a focus on safety, efficiency, and student well-being.

Her vast knowledge of the community and strong ties to Sycamore, combined with her proven leadership, make her exceptionally well-prepared to take on the added responsibility of overseeing OSCAR.

“Mrs. Lantz’s experience across multiple roles in our district has given her a unique perspective on how to best support students and families,” said Nick Reineck, Interim Superintendent. “She has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to serving our community, and I am confident that her leadership will strengthen the alignment between our schools and OSCAR, ensuring a seamless experience for students throughout their day.”

We are excited for the expertise and passion Mrs. Lantz will bring to this expanded role as she continues serving our students, families, and staff.
