Sycamore Library — Family Fort Building

Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Library Garden

Join Ms. Hester in the Library's garden (on the North side of the building across from the courthouse) for some family fort-building fun! Use the library’s cardboard and fasteners, plus any blankets or sheets you’d like to bring, to build your fort. Each family will have its own area to build. Remember your sunscreen!

Sycamore Library — Family Concert with Jim Gill (part of the Summer Concert Series)

Enjoy a joyful, energetic concert with award-winning Chicagoland children’s musician, Jim Gill at Sycamore Park District’s Good Tyme Shelter. Adults and children alike are encouraged to clap, jump, dance & sing-along with Jim and his banjo. Jim will also have his books and CDs available for purchase after the concert.

Sycamore Park District Movies in the park: Tuck Everlasting (presented in partnership with the Sycamore Public Library)

Join Sycamore Public Library for the first annual Book vs. Movie night! First, read a digital or physical copy of Natalie Babbitt’s Tuck Everlasting from the library, then, join us to watch this family friendly movie (rated PG) in the park. Stay after the movie to discuss the vitality of Tuck Everlasting’s message, and whether you liked the book or the movie better. Sycamore Park District — Mommy & Me Painting

Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM 
Community Center

Ages 5+ | Bond with your child with some paint and a canvas! Our instructor will help you and your child create beautiful works of art together. You will create two separate paintings that will be combined into one masterpiece to hang on the wall! Supplies will be provided. Fee is for two participants. Resident $37/Nonresident $47.
