Board of Education At Large Election Referendum
The Board of Education At Large Election Referendum was approved for placement on the ballot during the Board of Education meeting held on June 25, 2024.
Currently, no more than three members of our Board of Education can be elected from any one congressional township within the district, as mandated by Section 5/10-10.5 of the School Code. The proposed change would allow for the election of board members at large, without restriction by area of residence within the district.
