Our buildings will operate under the following schedules for the 2020-21 school year. Teachers will have a standard workday each day.
Elementary
Remote Learners
Students will continue to have four synchronous sessions daily in the areas of: morning meeting, reading, writing, and math. In addition, all remote students should attend a daily learning pod at the end of the day with their classroom teacher.
The expectation for remote students is that they attend all live instructional sessions. If a remote student is going to miss a live instructional session they must contact the office prior to the absence. The elementary staff will provide recorded content for all excused absences.
When we change to in-person learning four days a week, some asynchronous content will be shifted to Fridays. Remote learners will notice a change in their daily remote work activities starting on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. These changes will be communicated by each elementary building, but may include more opportunities for choice within the independent work times. Grade level teachers may work together as a team to provide services to remote learners.
In-Person Learners
Students who are designated as “in-person” will attend school Monday through Thursday. After school on these days, students will access their Google Classroom to complete their daily special. Fridays of each week will continue to be an asynchronous day, with just one morning meeting at 9:15 AM. Students should continue to take their attendance on Fridays and complete all assigned asynchronous work.
Middle and High School
In-person learners will follow their daily schedule Monday through Thursday. All instruction will be provided during the school day. Homework may be assigned to support learning activities at school.
Remote learners will be required to participate in scheduled live sessions, and complete all other work asynchronously. Middle and high school staff can be reached for questions and/or student support by calling the respective building, or by their district email address.
Additional details will be provided directly by your student’s school. Any additional questions can be directed to the main office of the school at which your student is enrolled.
